The Eighth Doctor Adventures: Doom Coalition 2 Review

Another strong volume. Doom Coalition 2 fails to be a middle of the road series and uses its concepts and stories to excel this new style of storytelling. Plenty of twists and turns continue as the Doctor’s hunt for the Eleven takes him from memories long ago to the people he calls his own and every second is captivating.

Unlike parts of Dark Eyes, that just started and stopped the story as and when it pleased, the narrative here is always pushing forward with even episodic monsters and adventures contributing towards the overall story making Doom Coalition, so far, feel grand, but not too much as to over do itself.

Sure a life or a world may be in peril from time to time, which is the status quo with these things, but it’s not failed to come up with an interesting new angle or take on a formula that was getting a little dull in previous entries.

2 out of 2 so far! Fingers crossed this becomes somewhat of a favourite of mine!
