Star Wars Episode Three: Revenge Of The Sith Review
This film surprises me each time I see it.
Attack Of The Clones might be the worst entry in this trilogy and the entire franchise in my opinion. So to have that next to the best in the trilogy is an insane back to back experience.
Somehow everything has been improved from dialogue, story and even set design.
I actually like Anakin here, a feat the previous two entries failed at spectacularly. His bromance with Obi-Wan is my favourite part of this whole film, along with their story of betrayal.
What really confuses me is why the other two films even needed to happen, especially when this one knocked it out of the park.
The Tale Of Darth Plagus The Wise is hands down one of my favourite scenes in the entire series not to mention the entire opening act to this film.
The lightsaber fights, especially between Anakin and Obi-Wan, are beautiful as they carry the ferocity they needed, even if a twirl or two is still in there.
Dialogue-wise this is an immense improvement but that doesn’t mean we don’t have duds.
“You are so... beautiful”
“It’s only because I’m so in love”
“No. No it’s because I’m so in love with you”
Yeah the same dude deffo wrote parts of this script but there are some great lines in here about manipulation and the bonds everyone has, even if it’s a stretch at time to fully believe it.
The star of this film had to be that score. Seriously! It’s one of the best movie scores ever and I’m just so glad it’s in a good Star Wars film.
8/10
